Big Heroes

The founders of Big Heroes experienced that there is an imbalance in corporate giving in Singapore. When corporates donate money or time to a good cause, it benefits mostly larger, more established welfare organisations. To help smaller welfare organisations, Big Heroes functions as an intermediate connecting both parties through the vehicle of social team building.
With our social team building events, we enable both corporates and beneficiaries to take part. This format creates unique experiences and benefits both sides.
We experience fulfilling moments in every single social team building event we are organising. One that stood out for us personally is, when a group of Grand Hyatt employees brought out visually impaired students from iC2 Prephouse to Kidzania. The event format was to encourage the children to look beyond their challenges and help them to Dream Big. It turned out that, while the children had an amazing time, the emotional learning experience was a lot stronger with the adults. They were stunned by the positive outlook onto life and the confidence these kids demonstrated during the day. This was a very heart-warming thing to witness.
As a social entrepreneur you naturally have an additional challenge compared to a conventional enterprise. While you still need to build up a profitable business that competes within the normal marketplace, you have to put in additional efforts to fulfil the social cause that you and your organisation is passionate about.
We want Big Heroes to stay for a long time. We want to be an effective intermediate for many local welfare organisations and be a part in their successful journey. At the same time we want to be a place that provides employment and development opportunities for those who face challenges in our society.
